CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS OF THE BEST OF THE BEST AWARDS 2007!
 

JCDecaux Transport and the MTR Corporation jointly announced the winners of The Best of the Best Awards 2007 for MTR Advertising on 13th March 2008 at the Conrad Hong Kong. The Best of the Best Awards has been held annually since 2002 to recognize the outstanding achievements and creative excellence in MTR advertising*. These awards aim to encourage the advertising industry to exploit new ideas and to produce more creative executions in future campaigns.

More than 230 marketers and industry professionals attended this year's Best of the Best Awards Ceremony.
A total of 17 categories and 29 awards were presented during the ceremony.

LEADING TO THE FUTURE...

This year's theme is "The Power and the Vision".
Advertisers keep looking for a more eye-catching and interactive way to reach out to consumers on the move. To provide more creative flexibility beyond ordinary advertising, we envisage the future is not just about using MTR as an advertising medium to fully maximize the impact of reach and frequency, but also to empower the impact and presence of digital media.

From March 2008, MTR Main Products and Airport advertising will be marketed under the name "JCDecaux Transport" and MTR Digital advertising will be marketed under the name "JCDecaux Digital Vision".

 
Showcased at the ceremony were Digital Escalator Crown Bank and Digital Poster Networks, the upcoming digital products at MTR.
 
The ceremony was kicked off with the speech by Mr. Stephen Wong, Chief Executive Officer, JCDecaux Greater China. "In the past year, through the creativity and progressive thinking of our clients, including media agencies as well as creative agencies, many brilliant ideas have been realized to impress everyone who travels on the MTR network."   Mr. Andrew McCusker, Operations Director of the MTR Corporation Limited, gave a speech after Mr. Stephen Wong.

Best of the Best Creative Platinum Award - Dragonair!
All of the outstanding campaigns that appeared in the MTR system and AEL system throughout 2007 were qualified as entries for The Best of the Best Awards 2007. Hong Kong Dragon Airlines won the Best Creative Platinum Award with the campaign "Dragonair Fukuoka and Sendai Route Launch". Universal McCann and McCann Worldgroup Hong Kong were the media agency and creative agency of this winning campaign.

Best of the Best Use of Media Platinum Award - DHL!
The Best Use of Media Platinum Award went to "All The Way" by DHL Express (HK) Limited. The media agency and creative agency, mediaedge:cia and Ogilvy & Mather Advertising were also acknowledged with the highest number of finalists and awarded campaigns in the year 2007. They were given the Certificate of Excellence in Media Innovation.
